ArtsWestchester continues with ‘Taste of Latin Culture’

ArtsWestchester is featuring two more spring concerts, tomorrow and May 1, that tap into local immigrant traditions. The “Taste of Latin Culture” series is presented by the organization’s Folk Arts program. Both concerts start at 7:30 p.m. in the Arts Exchange, 31 Mamaroneck Ave., White Plains. Details:

Tomorrow, Folk Arts Westchester presents “Raices Andinas” with Guitarras Andinas del Peru, Conjunto Revalacion and “scissor dancer” Walter Velille with live Andean harp and violin accompaniment by Alejandro and Ignacio Velasco.

On May 1, Costumes and Traditions of Guatemala with Hermonas y Amigos de Guatemala, Cucumatz of NYC and live Marimba music, and a one day art show of Guatemala painters including Balam Soto from Connecticut.
Food will be served at both events.
