This year’s illegal alien costume

I just spotted a Twitter from journalist Pilar Marrero on a commercially sold “illegal alien” costume, available at Target and other outlets. This one includes an orange jumpsuit and a space-alien mask, and a green card. I guess the joke is open to interpretation, but given the serious problems in the immigrant detention system, I wouldn’t expect everyone to laugh.

Reminds me of the scandal two years ago after a Halloween party at ICE, where an employee showed up in dreadlocks, prison stripes and dark makeup and said he was a Jamaican detainee who had escaped. The costume won a prize for most original.

Funny idea. I am thinking of going with this for Halloween. i have a lot of parties to go to.

This costume is racist, tacky and offensive. Imagine if it was a “minstrel alien” costume and you can see how no one-~~save for the most hardened racists~~-would want to touch it with a 10 ft. pole. Shows that Target is out of touch with its consumer base and that they should have had a gatekeeper to catch this one before it went up on the chopping block.

Who cares who it offends Manolo. It’s freedom of expression.
There’s no law against it like the laws that are broken everyday by these criminal illegal alien filth.

If they bothered to learn the language and respect the country they are hiding out in, it wouldn’t be a problem.

Just remember it was an illegal alien that raped and killed a woman a few years ago, while painting her house.

Also, they drive illegally and when they hit you with the car, oops they don’t pay and they aren’t even held. then they just disappear.
