Pope asks politicians for immigration reform

Pope Benedict XVI said there is an “emergency” of illegal immigration in his Sunday sermon and he encouraged Europe’s elected officials to address the problem in a humanitarian way. He also said that sending countries bear some of the responsibility for illegal immigration and that leaders of these countries have to remove the causes of illegal immigration.
